What a Stick Rake Is Used For

A stick rake sifts debris from soil. AARCH's own product copy describes tines designed to clear unwanted material while preserving the soil underneath. Typical jobs:

  • Clearing sticks and roots from paddocks and fencelines.

  • Pushing up fallen timber.

  • Clearing scrub and debris after land clearing. If the work involves native vegetation, check NSW clearing rules first: NSW Local Land Services.

How to Choose a Stick Rake Size

Four things decide it:

  1. Machine capacity: a heavier rake needs a machine that can lift and carry it. The 4 m Premium rake weighs 1,650 kg. [add minimum machine size for each model]

  2. Job size: wider rakes cover more ground per pass but need more power and clearance.

  3. Soil retention: tine spacing affects how much soil you keep while clearing debris. [add each model's tine spacing]

  4. Hitch: check that your machine has a compatible hitch. See loader hitches.
